    When you purchase a domain name from us, or transfer your domain name to our domain management services, YOU or your company are listed as the registrant. The registrant information shown in a whois lookup displays only your company name and address. Your phone number or email address is not shown.

    For your protection against spamming or telemarketing we are listed as Administrative, Technical, and Billing contact because those categories require an email address and phone number. That information is displayed in a whois lookup.

    By listing us as Administrative contact, any attempt by anyone to transfer your domain name to another service will result in an immediate notice to the Administrative contact. We then contact our customers to confirm the transfer request and then take appropriate action. This helps protect our customers from domain name hijacking.

    Technical contact; self explanatory. We're the computer/network geeks setting up the account and making it work.

    By listing us as Billing contact, it protects our customers from the deceptive practices performed by a few other registrars (whose names we will not mention). If our customers receive what appears to be an invoice for their domain name from some entity other than Digital Image Delights, its bogus, no confusion about it, just toss it. Some of the language they use to convince you to send them your money would make even the best "sweepstakes" firms envious. The idea is that if you pay their "invoice", then they can legitimately transfer your domain name to their services which could wind up costing you more money.
